Delphi day trip! We did not have another means of travel and wanted to see some other parts of Greece other than just islands. Though I could 100% spend all of my time on some of those islands.
Delphi is home to some more ancient ruins and temples. It is more history and mythological stops and tour items. But the views out here are also so gorgeous.
This was a 3 hour bus ride from Athens on a charter bus. We did make a stop on the way for the bathroom/cafe. It is a walking tour and a lot of it involved stairs or hills. The area is a higher elevation as well so take that into account for how much walking and incline you can handle and how much water you need.
Overall, the tour was enjoyable and I do recommend it but Delphi could use some more time than the few hours we had due to having to drive there and back. If you have another means of transportation or are staying closer to there then I would take more time to explore the area.
There is a super cute ski town not too far outside of it as well, Arachova. The day we went in June seemed VERY quiet though so don’t think they have as much going on in the summer months.
Due to time constraints, we were also moving very quickly. He gave great directions on when and where to meet and how to get to the museum area though so if you lagged behind for part of it you would still be fine and able to meet up for the next part.
I would have loved to spend more time in the museum portion. It was quite crowded (we were nowhere close to the only charter bus tour there) and there is a lot to look at. For a day trip though it was adequate. https://www.tripadvisor.com/AttractionProductReview-g189400-d23813993-Delphi_Arachova_Premium_Historical_Tour_with_Expert_Tour_Guide_on_Site-Athens_Atti.html
