Our last day in Greece we spent the morning around our place souvenir shopping and relaxing.

But the afternoon/evening was spent going to Cape Sounion and Temple of Poseidon.

There is a normal time tour for this as well but going at sunset was beautiful and so worth it. It does get really busy up there so it was hard to get people free photos but we did manage to get some. All of our pictures were mostly with our phones so I’m sure if you have a fancier camera or settings you could get even better photos.

This tour made a quick stop at a lake spot- Vouliagmeni which was really pretty and if we had known about it sooner, we may have made a stop there for a bit too. You can stay here but there is also a day price to hang out: https://lakevouliagmeni.gr/

Next we stop at a beach for a bit. There is a small beach bar with some drinks and snacks. We stayed there for about an hour.

Our guide did all of the talking on the bus ride there so we got to move at our own pace once at the temple. There is an “easy” and “hard” path. The hard path is slightly longer and shows you more of the site though I don’t think you’re missing too much if you skip it and take the easier path up to the temple. Part of the way does have ramps too on the easy path.

The views up here are gorgeous and we had such a fun time. There are some benches around the area and a shop/sitting area at the bottom. We had a good amount of time to meander here and get our photos. https://www.tripadvisor.com/AttractionProductReview-g189400-d11478710-Cape_Sounion_and_Temple_of_Poseidon_Half_Day_Small_Group_Tour_from_Athens-Athens_A.html

Once we got back, we hit a stop for Loukoumades which are like fried donut/desserts.

Greece was a favorite stop of ours and we loved it so much. The views are gorgeous, the people were all very nice (and the guys were very fine), and there is so much documented and preserved history here. I would love to visit some more of the islands though.
